The EMBO workshop, an event bringing together over 60 early-stage researchers, field leaders and industry players from bioinformatics, computational biology, HPC and more, is taking place at Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Spain from 26 November to 1 December 2023. This year’s workshop, “Computational models of life: From molecular biology to digital twins“, offered a training opportunity for cutting edge techniques at the crossroads of single-cell omics, modelling and HPC to pave the way for realistic, scalable human digital twins.
Nikos Giatrakos from TUC presented “Extreme Scale Big Data Analytics Towards Battling Cancer” and discussed Resource Allocator for Tumor Simulations.
The workshop provided a great opportunity for networking and knowledge exchange among all attendees. Early career researchers had numerous opportunities to delve into the professional and academic backgrounds of speakers.
