Hosted by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, the event spanned two intensive days filled with presentations, discussions, and collaborative sessions that highlighted the project’s advancements and the strategic path forward. A highlight was the session on Work Package 3 (WP3), which focused on System Architecture and Integration, demonstrating significant progress in the seamless integration of complex data processing workflows.

Presentations covered groundbreaking work from the different work packages (WPs), showcasing how CREXDATA’s tools and methodologies are being implemented in real-world scenarios to transform data into actionable insights.

Antonios Deligiannakis, the project coordinator, opened the meeting with an update on the project’s status, emphasizing the strides made since the last meeting in system architecture. The collaborative spirit of CREXDATA was palpable as partners shared insights from their respective areas, such as the development of use case simulators and pilots that are essential for the project’s success.

The second day featured in-depth discussions on Transparent AI, Augmented Reality, and Visual Analytics under Work Package 5 (WP5), pushing the boundaries of how artificial intelligence can be transparently integrated into real-world applications, specially in emergency situations.

A notable feature of the meeting was the coding camp, which fostered hands-on collaboration and real-time problem-solving among the participants, underscoring CREXDATA’s commitment to practical outcomes and immediate application of research findings.
