Crexdata is presented in a panel session at IEEE Symposium on Safety, Security, and Rescue Robotics

Date: October 29, 2025
Location: Galway, Ireland

The International Symposium on Safety, Security, and Rescue Robotics was started in 2002 with a special mission to bring together roboticists and practitioners, where academics can present practically-oriented research addressing existing domain needs and engage with agencies, responders, and companies. The conference is single track with full papers published by the IEEE. It traditionally sets aside time for field tours of training facilities or hosts exercises. It is a hands-on, community-oriented conference.

At this year’s edition, held from October 29 to 31 in Galway, Ireland, CREXDATA was present in partnership with DRZ.

In this regard, researcher Ivana Kruijff-Korbayova will moderate a panel that will address, among other topics, the question “How do we move from research to real-world impact in disaster response robotics?”.

The panel will be participated by:
🔹 Anna Berlin (DG ECHO) – on operational uptake of innovation in the EU’s Preparedness Union Strategy
🔹 Eileen Murphy (DIREKTION project (Horizon Europe)) – on structured approaches to address capability gaps
🔹 Robbert Heinecke (Futurised B.V.) – on innovation that truly supports first responders in the field
🔹 Harris Georgiou (Hellenic Rescue Team of Attica – Ελληνική Ομάδα Διάσωσης Αττικής) – on what really matters for technology to succeed in real SAR missions
